don't get me wrong, i love my parents and i'm sure they love me too. we're asian but they don't act like the asian stereotypes. they never hit me, they don't care much about my grades. they don't really align with the asian stereotypes except for one fact, they're here for me physically, but not emotionally. they disregard my feelings. i've always lived a life thinking i scored the perfect family that loves me, but in my opinion throwing away your child's emotions is the worst thing a parent can ignore. i know i'm a sensitive and soft-hearted person and i let my emotions out too easily. but my parents keep saying "you're crying over such a small thing" "you're happy only because of that?" "you get disgusted so easily." "you're getting mad over a small problem." what's worse is that i was told that since i was 6 years old and i didn't know how to tame my emotions. i just kept unleashing them
