The RantRam job searching ranter is back with a new rant: Applied for a job on Friday. The closing date was yesterday. I did what the website said, sent my application to the email address provided. Got a reply today. Applications are now closed and they can only accept applications through their recruitment agency that I'd never heard of. Ffs why tell me to send my application to that email address then?? Now it's too late for me to apply properly and that's another job opportunity I've completely missed out on. And there's not a lot of opportunities about these days. Most of the jobs are very senior while I'm getting turned down for internships. Kids, if you get the opportunity to drop out of school and get a job instead, do it. I never had that opportunity but maybe I would have if I'd had made some connections. In my country I don't even think it's allowed anymore in case it helps people into paid work rather than endless education.
