I thought deleting tiktok was enough. But today, I deleted Instagram and have no where to post my rants which has brought me here. Over the past week, or maybe several weeks (its hard to tell because the weeks are blurring together because of this) I’ve lost too many hours of my attention to the passive bottomless pit of Instagram. I desperately don't want to waste away lying on the floor of my bedroom, endlessly scrolling memes I relate to or people I want to be more like. Yet I’ve found myself stuck in that exact habit. It isn’t merely a loss of time, it actively drains my spirit, plants doubt and distraught into my brain, and subconsciously clutters my mind with anxiety. It is overwhelming to realize how quickly hours vanish into a screen, “Do I even remember all that I experienced?” It leaves me feeling hollow and completely detached from the real world.
