It really sucks how consent is so overlooked and this is not just in a way for sex, it’s in a ton of everyday things that people just can’t handle the word “no” or be okay if someone doesn’t want to do something. Someone doesn’t want to learn about religion, and yet others still try to coerce them into learning it despite them saying “no.” Someone doesn’t want to present in a feminine way, but others still try to say they have to despite them saying “no.” Someone could say they don’t want more food but others will insist they keep eating despite them saying “no.” Even in the most simplest moments people ignore someone who is not consenting. Someone saying that they don’t want something to be pushed onto them or for them to do should be enough of a reason to not try and convince them otherwise. “No, I don’t want to, I’m okay, not feeling it, stop,” these all mean NO. Violating consent should not only have to matter once it becomes dangerous, consent should always be important
