It's jarring how some people are capable of such cruelty when not incentivized to have empathy. It's jarring how people put so much before simple basic human respect. It's jarring how people make the world more painful than it has to be, and how the cycle continues. I'm aware that it's hard to see the system when you're in it, and that none of this is anything new, but it is disappointing. How does one not see treating another human being as below them as a mistake? How is your worldview built on taking so much away? Yet you expect much better for yourself when you are also fragile. How in the absolute world can any of that be guised as admirable? It's unfair that the loudest voices in our lives are little hypocrites in power. I guess, try to take accountability at the very least? Please.
