I hope my mom knows how much her words affect me. First of all, I have a terrible self esteem and she knows that I do. Recently, for the past few months, I've been working my ass off to lose weight. I cleaned my diet completely, worked out daily, and the results are evident. I've lost over 10 pounds, and I'm so proud of myself. Instead of being proud of me, my mom decides to constantly nag at me about how I'm "starving myself" when she KNOWS that I've been doing everything to lose weight. She knows I'm working for it. She's seen me do it. But then, she wants to make comments like "if you keep starving yourself, all of that weight is gonna come back double". It makes me so much more anxious and insecure. I try to avoid eating around people because I genuinely just don't like to, but apparently just because she can't see me eating, I'm not eating. I know I shouldn't let it get to my head, but I wish she would acknowledge the fact that I worked so hard to reach my goal weight.
