It is incredibly frustrating when school makes it so hard to get help or express your feelings. When my friend was trapped in a toxic relationship with an awful, disgusting person, the school did absolutely nothing—even after she begged the counselor for help. Later, when a boy constantly harassed my friends, the "See Something, Say Something" system completely ignored us until another guy finally forced him to stop. On top of that, the double standards are exhausting. A teacher scolded my friend and me for being loud at lunch, yet completely ignored a table of boys who were making even more noise. The dress code also aggressively discriminates against girls, policing our shoulders and legs while letting boys wear whatever they want. We deserve safety, fairness, and a voice. -lily_bug216
