Most vegans weren't always vegan and I think a lot of them forget that when they compare eating meat or animal products to awful things that they would never have done What they say has logic. But at the same time I'm not sure I can agree. These actions it gets compared to are things that are widely known to be wrong so most people wouldn't choose to do it. But when it comes to eating meat and animal products, most of us are raised to believe that it's okay and necessary for survival and most people don't even question it or understand the impact. That and not everyone is allowed to choose what they eat. I have always loved animals but I used to eat meat because I wasn't allowed not to. My parents said no. They cooked meat for me anyway and guilt tripped me into eating it because "an animal died for your food". Now I can eat what I want, I haven't eaten any animal products in nearly 7 years. But that doesn't make the younger version of me comparable to a nonce or a murderer.
