I am worried about my bf meeting my parents. For context we are in our 20s and I am in college currently while he has been looking for work. He is absolutely a kind, gentle, honest, sweet, and loving man; however, there are a few things I’m worried about my family’s judging him for. For starters he doesn’t have a HS diploma, he is missing almost all his front teeth, and he has a noticeable lazy eye. A lot of this comes from his childhood. He is completely blind out of one eye and legally out the other, his family is also terrible. By that I mean they have a lot of drug issues are suffering in poverty (he doesn’t do drugs or drink). It’s just a very rough situation. He’s very insecure about it all. He wants to get his GED and we are hoping I can help once I get a place for us or whenever I get my bachelors. Still, my parents can be pretty judgmental and that scares me. He means a lot to me, but I don’t want them to say anything hurtful or rude to him. I don’t want him more insecure.
