TW: Homophobia/corrective RAPE/long long rant I saw the title of a fic for a character I love so so much. And they wanted to corrective rape her. It’s hurt and stuck with me because I didn’t expect homophobic violence on a site that was like “we noticed gay fics were being reported more so we made our own space” I never thought it could be a site/safe space for men who want to dykebreak or corrective rape lesbians. It just seems cruel that they’d make AO3 with that justification then have violently homophobic shit allowed on that platform. adjusted my settings maybe I’ll get over it but I hate most that’s it’s stuck in my head I hate sharing fandom with men sometimes because I always have to avoid rapefic so much more than with characters that are loved by women more.
