does anyone else's mom get really mad she might not have grandkids? i'm gay (no one knows) and my sister (14) said she doesn't want kids, and my mom lost it. I get you'd be a little sad if you didn't have descendants, but her reaction kinda scared me. i think she sees grandkids as some sort of status symbol, and I happened to find a journal page talking about how the kids should behave, how the parents should be, what kind of husband there should be, etc. my mom got a dog recently on a whim, and while i think she really does love it, she doesn't seem to be super interested in playing with it and often gets mad at it. it seems like she just likes the idea of having nice things
