I’m feeling really hopeless. It seems like I’m someone who’s loved and pampered, but in reality, it’s just a facade—no one understands me, and no one knows what I want. It’s as if I have a family and friends, yet it’s as if I don’t. That’s where my sadness and disappointment come from. Who can understand the feeling when you’re extremely stressed but still try to keep your emotions in check so you can listen to and share in others’ sorrows—yet no one is willing to share with you? Everyone thinks I’m carefree, worry-free, and thoughtless—that I don’t know what sadness is—so no one realizes that sometimes I’m so sad and desperate that I have to cry alone and want to disappear from everyone, just to find out if anyone would miss me when I’m gone from this world. Who can understand that just when you’ve tried your best to adjust your mood to feel as comfortable and happy as possible, the very person you wanted to bring joy to shatters that mood and says hurtful things? And suddenly you realize that the only one who’s willing to listen to you is your pet cat.
