as someone who came out fairly recently, i often doubt if i'm "truly" trans, but then i remember that cis people don't feel the way i do. do cis girls cry over their assigned gender? do they avoid going to the bathroom so they don't have to face their own body parts? do they get happy when they're mistaken for a boy or become ecstatic when someone hesitates between calling them sir or maam? even with the way i feel about myself and my body, there's still a small part of my mind that's convinced i've transitioned for attention. i know that's not true, yet i doubt myself anyway.
