I hate when you try to actually educate someone about why a certain thing is bad and they refuse to accept anything other than their own opinion no matter what you tell them. Even when it comes to people I don’t agree with I try to listen and understand their perspective and what might’ve led them to it. I honestly think there is an utter lack of people who are willing to do the same as me. How can you argue something if you aren’t actually willing to look at the other side of your argument and think critically? At that point you’re just closing your ears and yelling “I’m right and you’re wrong” This is why I try not to argue with bigoted people. It goes in one ear and out the other and just ends up being a waste of time. All I can do is hope for change.
